Jany Jansem was born in the circle of Art. Son of painter Jean Jansem, he started to work at Galerie Maurice Garnier and after about 10 years, became a specialist of the first and second Ecole de Paris movements. He then joined the family gallery, Galerie Matignon, as its interim director for a few years. At the beginning of the eighties, he opened a contemporary art gallery, Galerie 10, on rue des Beaux-Arts, in the 6th district of Paris. He still represents many of Galerie 10’s artists today. In 1996, he created Jany Jansem Productions which organizes cultural and artistic exhibitions and events. Since 2005, Jany Jansem is the director of Galerie Matignon, while continuing his activities under Jany Jansem Fine Art.
Danielle Paquin Jansem worked for the international press for twenty years as a magazine editor in chief and publisher (ELLE in Canada for 8 years, among others), and internet sites (ELLE.com in France and US for 4 years, among others). She was also director and producer of documentary films and television programs in Canada and France, and thematic multimedia exhibion producer for international projects. Jany Jansem and Danielle Paquin were married in 2007. She is now responsible for the development and communication of Jany Jansem Fine Art.
